The Mission:
"To provide an atmosphere that empowers NorthBay alumni through supportive resources and challenging initiatives to become champions of their environments."
The Follow On Program is an integral part in fulfilling NorthBay's overall mission. NorthBay's Mission is "to expose students to phenomenal leadership and a dynamic environment, where they can make enriching, and life changing decisions about who they want to be and how they will respond to life." When students attend NorthBay as sixth graders, our staff is given five days to work alongside students and their teachers to impact them in a way that allows them to have new experiences and encourages them towards positive life choices.
The Follow On Program is an extension of the students five day experience at NorthBay. Through our Follow On activities, we will be able to stay in contact with students, providing them with support and opportunities beginning with their original visit and continuing through their high school graduation. Through Follow On we are providing various opportunities for involvement. Some of the options that we offer are facilitation of schoolyard habitat projects, 2B Clubs, Follow On Assemblies, Maryland Green Schools certification, and curriculum integration. We strive to achieve a strong relationship between not only NorthBay and students, but also with their schools and communities. If you have visited NorthBay with your students and are interested in working with NorthBay's Follow On Program, please contact the Follow On Coordinator,
Meghan Luttrell.
